HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

The Love Waterford Gifting Program connects families in need in our community with families who are willing to help meet spread joy to their neighbors for Christmas.

GATHER REFERRALS

Families are referred to our Gifting Program through trusted partners -  Waterford Unified School District, Sierra Vista Family Resource Center, and Waterford Police Services.

We get a list of items that children and their families need, as well as toys that they want, and put that information onto a "Tag."

KIDS GET SPONSORED BY THE COMMUNITY

A tree with the tags is put into the Waterford USD office, and community members sponsor a child(ren) for Christmas by purchasing items from their list.

Presents are wrapped and delivered

Presents are returned to the Waterford USD office, where our volunteers pick them up, wrap them, and store them until it's time for delivery.

2023 PROGRAM IMPACT

THANKS TO OUR MANY DONORS, 86 CHILDREN WERE SPONSORED LAST CHRISTMAS

In addition to the gifts that were donated by the community, ACE donated  20 BICYCLES for the Waterford Sheriff to distribute, and the Letters to Santa Charity and CBC church donated  $7,500 in GIFT CARDS & GIFTS  to be distributed amongst another 50 children in our community.

Thanks for LOVING our kids this Christmas!

We accept family referrals for Christmas gifts from our partner agencies only. If you are looking to nominate yourself, please note that we do not receive referrals in this manner. You can try to contact the Lighthouse church to see if they are hosting their toy giveaway.
